I recently purchased the Nintendo Amiibo – Joker from the Super Smash Bros. Series for my collection, and I must say, I am extremely satisfied with my purchase. This review will provide an in-depth look at the features, benefits, and minor drawbacks of this amiibo.
Physical Design
The physical design of the Joker amiibo is impressive. It is able to stand on its own, thanks to the transparent flame stand that holds it up at the boots and rear-end. The face has a nice sculpt, although the hair may appear fused together when viewed up close. However, from afar, it is very recognizable. The creases in the clothes are well done, but the end coat could use more work. Overall, the amiibo looks really good.
Digital Content
The main DLC content that comes with the Joker amiibo is ghost data for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. It is exciting to see the potential for additional DLC content for Persona 5 Scramble when it releases in North America. In terms of other games, you can expect saved ghost data, random common loot drops, and unlockable costumes depending on the game.
Price and Packaging
I was able to purchase this amiibo at a good/cheap price (less than $20) when I bought it. However, it seems that the product was already slightly damaged from the box when it was packaged, which may explain the discounted price. If the damage to the box had been mentioned or if it had not been damaged at all, it would have been a perfect purchase.
Pros:
- Impressive physical design
- Comes with exciting DLC content
- Affordable price
Cons:
- Packaging may be damaged
Conclusion
The Nintendo Amiibo – Joker from the Super Smash Bros. Series is a great addition to any amiibo or Persona 5 fan’s collection. The physical design is impressive, and the inclusion of DLC content adds value to the purchase. Despite the minor drawback of potential packaging damage, the overall quality and affordability make this amiibo a worthwhile buy.
